Fun In IT

Web Navigation

I need the internet for locating information regarding English Literature A great deal of journals and books and even the Oxford English Dictionary and Biography giving details of all the famous literary writers are on the net, and these are very important for my course. Since my course in IT I know I have to go to a search engine or Data base to arrive at the webpage. But I need more understanding of site navigations. I found the windows xp book gave me guidelines on browser navigation, in addition to site navigation, and explained about web history and how to set it and use it. It also showed me how to keep a record of the web addresses of the sites which I may need for future, in addition to the web history site which was of a temporary type of archiving. I also found steps on internet security which will be useful. Once I have mastered these I would use the tutorials given in the web sites to guide me in navigating. I found the site 'intute' giving a good tutorial. The tutorial was geared to the specific area, thus I can be directed to the tutorial covering browsing in English Literature. I felt this was a worthwhile site as it had websites for annual bibliography of English Language and literature, had the website for Modern Language Association. The Oxford Dictionary on line and many more. So I will learn from the site tutorial in future, and if I still have problems I will phone a friend.

fun the final

I am sorry , I thought the last blog was my final one ,but I find I have to post another. I want to tell you I bought the windows book, I had been using a borrowed one, I found from it how to make foot notes. Yes I know we were taught that in class, but generally as I told you earlier I take a little time to grasp it properly and so feel scared saunting into it on my own. bye .Manil
